Last Minute Galentine’s Day Brunch

What's Galentines Day?

Let’s celebrate girls. This year, why don’t you put together a little brunch for your favorite ladies to show how much you appreciate them. Before you begin your planning you need to decide on a theme. Do you envision a rustic, vintage look or a clean, modern feel? Maybe you want to go all out with a girly, frou frou theme since it is a Galentine’s Day Brunch, after all. Whatever you end up choosing, you need to stick to it throughout the entire planning process.

I am choosing to go with a clean, modern look with pops of color displayed throughout the food and décor. Hopefully you have decided on a theme too, because now it’s time to get together your guest list so you can send those invitations out as quickly as possible.

Oh, and most importantly…no boys allowed!

Step 1: Invitations

Since this is a last minute brunch, skip the snail mail this time and opt for the e-vite. You can easily customize an invitation to send to all your gals for a small fee.

Step 2: The Menu

Now is the time to collect all of those brunch recipes you’ve been pinning for years and put them to good use.

Waffles: You can’t have a good brunch without waffles. Make your waffles ahead of time and slice them in quarters so guests will have room for more of your delicious recipes. Don’t overdo it with the toppings. Keep it simple with a few fruit selections and of course, chocolate. Using white serving dishes will contrast your food nicely.

Mini Frittatas: I like this recipe because it is easy and can be done ahead of time. This is a great way to incorporate protein and vegetables into your menu.

Bacon Wrapped Crackers: Let’s just say I’ve never had anyone ever turn down a bacon wrapped cracker.

Parmesan Hash-browns: I like this recipe because the individual cup of hash-browns allows for a cleaner display.

Orange Sherbet Mimosa: This is so simple. All you need is orange sherbet and champagne or sparkling apple cider, then garnish with a fresh orange slice. You could even go for a pink sherbet to go along with the theme!

Step 3: The Décor

This is the step that will make your party stand out from others. Anybody can have good food and good company at their brunch, but good décor sets the stage for the best brunch.

XOXO Table Cloth: I LOVE this. It really adds some character to the theme. I would use it to spruce up the dining table.

Cupcake Liner Poms: These are inexpensive to make and so cute! You could do these in different shades of pinks/reds/whites

Gold Mason Jars: Spray paint Mason Jars gold and fill with pink peonies to add elegance to your table arrangement.

Heart Garland: This would make for a nice patterned backdrop behind the food table. Mix pink and red construction paper to add more color.

Step 4: Take-homes

This is a great Galentine’s Day gift to send your ladies home with. Fill a glass bottle with fresh flowers and a note to leave your girls feeling appreciated.
